Pedro Nueno, IESE professor and founder of CEIBS, new speaker for Alhambra Venture 2023

Nueno will be at the Palacio de Congresos on July 4 and 5 to talk about entrepreneurship, new business creation and innovation.

Pedro Nueno, professor in IESE’s Entrepreneurship Department and founder and honorary president of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), joins the tenth edition of Alhambra Venture as a speaker.

Nueno is trained as a Technical Architect, Industrial Engineer and holds a PhD in Business Administration from Harvard University.

His school, a leader in business management in Asia, has offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Accra, Zurich, and is an eminence in the Asian country.

For six years, the professor was a member of the Visiting Committee of the Harvard Business School. In addition, he has served as a board member of distinguished companies around the world.

He is also the founder of Finaves, an IESE-based venture capital fund that has launched more than 40 companies, creating more than 3,000 jobs.

In addition, he is the author of 22 books translated into different languages on restructuring, innovation and entrepreneurship.

However, he is an expert in innovation and change management and teaches courses and lectures all over the world. Nueno is a trustee of the ICO Foundation and has been an advisor to the International Monetary Fund and the European Economic Community, among other institutions.


Throughout his career, he has received numerous outstanding distinctions such as the Encomienda de Número al Mérito Civil y Cruz de San Jorge (2003), the Golden Magnolia Award from the Government of Shanghai (2007), the Outstanding Contribution Award from the Government of China (2014), the Encomienda de Número de la Orden de Isabel la Católica (2015).

In addition, in 2016 he was named Honorary Member of the Superior Council of Doctors and Honorary Doctors Honoris Causa for his academic and business work and in 2019 he was invested as a Numerary Academician of the Royal European Academy of Doctors.
